Faded Morgana Weekly Digest
Faded Morgana has your back during these trying and unique times. Our mission is to showcase the local underground music and art scene here in the greater Los Angeles area, and as everything takes a step back and slows down, we can really start looking at all the wonderful creatives and their work with more observant eyes. Bored during your quarantine? Our staff will have weekly suggestions for what you can spend your time doing, and we'll be promoting local artists and musicians along the way, giving you plenty of options to choose from when you're filling your free time over the next few weeks. Enjoy!

WHAT TO DO IN QUARANTINE
Chris Murphy Vox Article
Recommendation by Daniel Flores
Chris Murphy is a senator on the rise. This article goes on to explain how he became a senator and so focuses on the US foreign policy.
While that may sound dry to some, Murphy drives home the message that we need to be the best global partner we can to help avoid issues like our current pandemic, but just to bring more peace to the world.
the SOCIAL NETWORK

Stream On: Netflix
David Fincher's 2010 drama takes us on a joyride through the real-life events leading to and transpiring from the creation of Facebook in 2003, and honestly now that it's on Netflix and I've given it a rewatch, it is a much better film than it gets credit for. Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield deliver powerful performances as Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin, respectively, and now that the movie has aged a decade, it's kinda wild to think about how big a role facebook still plays in most everyone's daily life and how much drama and betrayal took place during its creation. Although the movie centers mostly around a group of coders, you can't help but feel an almost rebellious punk vibe from the events as they pan out. Justin Timberlake also gives a good performance as Napster Founder Sean Parker, and the cherry on top is a score composed by Atticus Ross and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor.

I’ve watched this once through before but have recently completed in quarantine for a second time. Wow. The dynamic ensemble cast, heavy literary themes for a show that is at root about crime and punishment. An in-depth realistic look at politics, the school system, and the working man in Baltimore, as well as realistic portrayals of police department inner workings as well as life as a gangster on the street.

THE WEEKLY QUEST WITH DILLON TURNQUIST
a weekly section brought to from the mind of Dillon Isaac Oyst Quest Star Farts Turnquist
I really contemplated for a while now whether I should write this down
And well, I guess what held me back was the fear
The fear that it wouldn’t I be able to reach the one for whom I’m writing this message
But if you’re reading this, someway somehow it found its way home
I just felt the need to be remembered, to transcend those last moments
To leave a piece of myself that will outlast this current vessel
So, in this message, I live again, even if it is just the hijacked voice inside your head
These words are mine and you hear the full weight of my soul in every syllable
How selfish my ego should be that it finds it necessary to outlast its symbiotic relationship with its flesh bag
It’s a completely preposterous yet relatable concept, yet I’d be remiss if I continued to ramble on
They are telling me I don’t have much time left…
Because your attention spans are too short
